12 spectacular days in
sometimes sunny Scotland
June/July 2004
This was a great vacation. The scenery has to be seen to be believed (we
expected Frodo Baggins to pop out from behind a rock at any time). The
echoes of history resounded from every corner. The warmth of welcome
was probably unrivalled in any of our travels. Everywhere we went, we
wished we had more time.
There are many places left to visit on our "list," but we are sure to get back
to Scotland someday (but perhaps when it is a bit warmer ) to spend more
time in some of the areas we barely touched (Trossachs, Glencoe) and
see some of the many areas we missed altogether on this trip, including
the Orkneys, Iona, Lewis & Harris, St. Andrews, Glasgow and the areas to
the south, etc.
